An Update on Q1 from the Leadership Council

From your Leadership Council (LC),

We want to begin this update by expressing our gratitude to all of you for being part of the GracePointe family. We can’t imagine what these challenging times would be like without this community of truly amazing and beloved humans. And, to ALL of you from all across the U.S. and beyond who have found GracePointe since we began streaming our gatherings, thank you for finding us. You are enriching our community more than you can possibly know. We are so excited for the future with you continuing to be an important part of who we are and what we do.

Property Search and COVID-19 In-Person Gatherings

We continue to be so grateful to the staff and community members who have really stepped up to make our online gatherings engaging and meaningful. Your talent, your creativity, and your love shines through.

We are so excited to resume our in-person gatherings on June 6 at 3rd and Lindsley, our new temporary or “interim” gathering location. It has been a challenge to find a location to meet, however, we are confident that 3rd & Lindsley will serve our needs well in the meantime! The bottom line is that our community is not a building. We are a family that ultimately just wants to be together in person, and we recognize this.

This brings us to the search for a more permanent meeting space and our continued search for a property. We continue to aggressively engage in an ongoing, proactive property search to find a long-term solution to our gathering space needs. We are actively searching for, and investigating all options that come our way.

Finances

Your financial support of GracePointe started off 2021 very strong, and we are deeply grateful for that! Overall for the first quarter, we were about 30% over projected giving and about 5% under-budget on expenses. As we continue to gear up for return to in-person gatherings, there will inevitably be needs to build out our streaming capabilities to continue to serve our online community. We hope you will continue to join us by contributing whatever you are able to so that we can provide for our growing community needs here at GracePointe!

Charitable Contributions

Our First Quarter 2021 donation went to Open Table Nashville, a local nonprofit working with those experiencing homelessness. If you want to find out more about them, you can learn more on their website. Our second quarter nonprofit is The Little Pantry That Could, a volunteer run organization that serves those in need.
